I really love the use of VR for teaching languages- in this case it's like Beat Saber meets Overcooked. The main menu scene is inviting and it's neat to see the Korean style of architecture, it definitely makes you want to explore. It's helpful hearing the verbal responses of the narrator as you're playing, and it's a unique way to get introduced to new words through contextual interactions. In the future it'd be great to have additional vocabulary and grammar lessons available for users to grow their skills as well, if you're already familiar with Hangeul. It would also be extremely valuable to have areas to practice different challenges such as using the correct level of formality, ordering food, paying for bus tickets, saying please, excuse me, etc. That's something that would make this app stand out even more from other 2D language learning platforms for sure!

The game is a lot of fun and addicting in a good way! You can learn the Korean alphabet while shooting characters based on the sound. There is a learning section that teaches the alphabet and how each character is pronounced. The controls are simple to grasp and works well, even for left-handed gamers! As you shoot the correct characters you can unlock ingredients and work up to a recipe. I haven’t been able to unlock the recipe yet but I’m learning a lot during the process. I really like the gamification of the learning process, which acts as motivator to improve. I am looking forward to mastering the characters!
