Mondly: Learn Languages in VR

Had a lot of potential but looks like a scrapped project... you barely get to learn anything using this... Thai language sounds like it was made using Google Translate... Definitely not recommending this...

I do not have very much time on this game. But i would NOT recommend. This game could have great potential to give a valuable learning experience. But the game is very laggy and glitchy. There is also just not a lot of room for experimenting with other phrases/responses. I would not recommend at the moment with my very little play time and maybe not right now overall. (I am playing the Japanese option. May be better with other languages) PROS: -Good Voice-overs -Good Microphone reading (AI can understand words very easy) -Runs smooth on minimal graphics -Pretty Cheap CONS: -Lots of room for improvement in AI feedback and response -Glitchy Pronunciation Assistance -Tracking is very bad (Height Calibration and Hand Tracking) -Needs for response options -No Keyboard/Mouse Option (Not a problem for me) -Avatar Options for Multiplayer are very limited. Hope this helps anyone who is considering the game. I feel this game has great potential but needs a little bit of work.

Hi everyone, Can anyone tell how the play will start. I pressed the continue button to start the game but it won’t do. I have tried to play with pico 4

It used to run fine in WMR, but now it's unusable because there's no way to rotate so main scenes are in front [you have to literally sit/stand facing backwards away from the Bluetooth sensors] -- and worse yet, the software now starts with the view hovering about 10 feet below you [so you see outside of the viewing area]. With no way to reorient any positioning any more (and no vertical alignment options), the software is no longer functional. Unfortunately, it also looks like the devs completely abandoned any Steam VR version updates and/or support years ago. So what was once a decent enough program, to at least consider purchasing, is now a non functioning waste of hard drive space. If you do buy it, make sure it's starting you accurately (all the scenes in front of you). You may need to try it, and then completely exit and then reload Steam and the program (just to make sure the setting are still working, and haven't changes so they're out of accessible play areas -- as has happened for me, even though I've never changed any VR settings). THis program has potential- the idea is great. The execution needs some refining. I couldn't find instructions, which made everything harder, of course. For instance, I had no idea how to select a language and I wound up choosing the wrong one. I eventually sorted that out in a hit or miss fashion. However, I never could figure out how to exit the game. The only way I could return to steam was by using Task manager to exit mondly. As well, even though I have a studio quality microphone and a sound insulated studio, the program said my environment was noisy, and repeatedly misheard what I said- including my name! I'm not sorry I bought it, because it does have potential, and I'll come back to it from time to time and see if it's been improved. But right now, I'll put it on the back shelf, metaphorically speaking.
