Honestly, I wish I liked this game because it has really good art, design and music, but the rest of the game sours experience: Sluggish and slow UI, tight platforming coupled with bad and basic controls (no buffering or coyote jump while requiring jumping out of 1 tile exit. On top of that game wants you to speedrun these levels and do it really fast, while there's no lose condition - kinda wrong that you keep getting Bronze even if play through level relatively fast. And every restart makes you wait for Banki to drop of the sky, land, and if you're "lucky" - show you level name again that covers half of the screen. Want to overview level with camera? Wait for 2 seconds for no reason.

Very fun and challenging. It can get very difficult but it never feels impossible. The music and art are absolutely wonderful. The memories after beating a world are so very heartwarming!

A lovely game that I will probably remember for a long time. Being a fan of puzzle games, and of Touhou, I immediately bought the game after learning about it from Surnist. After completing it, I think the game mostly shines thanks to its mechanics, difficulty and music. On top of the 3 main mechanics related to Sekibanki's head, each of the
10
worlds brings one or two new environmental mechanics that is in most cases exclusive to that world, so you get both a variety of puzzles and also no "overdosing" in case you don't like one mechanic. I found the difficulty perfectly on point, although that's definitely subjective. Besides a few levels at the very beginning, even the levels introducing new game mechanics already offer some difficulty. I found myself struggling on several levels, but in the end nothing felt unfair and everything can be solved after enough thinking and planning. Music is amazing, both the soundtracks and SFX... with the exception of
Outside World and its blocks switching
which stands as an interesting way to blur the separation between soundtrack and SFX but started to annoy me after an hour spent there. I …

I really want to love this game, but I cannot recommend it unless you're a huge puzzle buff, or are willing to forgive one of the biggest roadblocks I've encountered in a puzzle game. World 9 sucks. That's all there is to it. I got stuck on it multiple times, at multiple points, and looking up the one complete walkthrough there is made me feel like "Really? How was I expected to know?" rather than "Oh! I totally missed that, that's on me!". Everything else is great! Stage 9, though...
