The game is a nice, short, enjoyable experience. The plot is not especially complex, but it does involve serious themes that I think are handled with realism and care. I like the style, and I feel like complaints about graphics are a bit unfounded since games in this "genre" all have a similar look (which I personally believe is quite alright). I recommend this game for a fun, brief experience.

KUMASAMA is a very short horror adventure that surprised me with how much atmosphere it manages to create in such a small amount of time. I am exploring a present day town where bear attacks have been happening, and there is a strange brown figure being seen around an abandoned factory at night. The game does not throw a huge amount of information at me straight away, which I think works well because I am left wondering what exactly is hiding in the town and why it seems so important to the story. The gameplay is very simple. I am mainly walking around, exploring the environment and inspecting objects to trigger events and move the story forward. There are no quest markers and there is no time limit, so I can take my time and look around instead of constantly being told where to go. I like this approach because the game is clearly more interested in atmosphere and discovery than complicated mechanics. It feels more like a short interactive horror story than a traditional survival horror game. The biggest strength for me is the way it handles the creature itself.
