My Friend Aki

[h1]Quite boring[/h1] I've progressed quite a bit in the game, but honestly, I just couldn't keep playing. The graphics and mechanics are poorly made. The interactive objects in the environment are also very badly done, with terrible physics. As I got further into the story, I ended up getting bored and couldn’t even finish it because the game doesn’t build any suspense or anything, it's like you're just walking through a dark place. Honestly, if it had at least been well made, I might have held out some hope and continued playing, but seeing that it's free and the average reviews aren’t that great, I wasn’t expecting much. I don’t recommend playing it.

I think its an interesting enough game. For the people who like... got lost or didn't understand how to press left click maybe don't play PC games anymore /j

I'm giving My Friend Aki a recommend because I can see potential here. Having a Tamagotchi mechanic is such a good idea! Also, it is free, so it doesn't cost you anything to try it. A big con in this game is hauling around giant lamps for a light source with aggravating physics which isn't much fun. Give us a flashlight, please! It's also very short, so once you get Aki, it's practically over. Again, I can see potential, so if you think the Tamagotchi mechanic sounds interesting, give this short game a shot.

There's a lot to like about this game- the atmosphere is quite good with effective use of color and light, there's unique mechanics that I've never seen in a game before, and the little fella in your menu is quite cute. However, I found that actually trying to utilize the unique mechanics was cumbersome and confusing. There was little to do within this world and I eventually gave up on trying to understand how to actually play the game. That being said I would love to play a version of the game that is a little more explanatory that capitalizes on the tension hinted at within the notes scattered about. I do hope you continue working on this because there's a pretty good base here. It just needs some tuning.
