Lap of the Gods: A Visual Novel

Just played through the whole game of the recommendation of a friend and holy hell?!?!?!? What an absolute feverdream it was in the very best way!!! I very rarely play visual novels cause few really grip me but Lap of the Gods really did!!! The designs are so cool and well made! The story is captivating (if not a bit conusing at some points) but all in all really fantastic especially with how everything came together with the stylistic and artistic choices all around! Only negative thing is that it was a bit laggy at some points but otherwise I had an absolute fantastic time with this game and can only recommend it!!! （づ￣3￣）づ╭❤️～

This game is phenomenal. It's a wonder to me that it hasn't received more attention !! The animation, use of color, font, backgrounds every part of it is so creative and visually interesting. Aside from that, the story itself is fantastic, with dialogue that will always keep you nothing short of invested. I loved playing this game and everyone I know will be hearing about its magnificence.

It has some pretty neat and unexpectedly sexually appealing character designs, and overall the visuals are pretty good, even if the animations may look a little cheap at times. Overall, the characters are nicely written, and the game is very committed to its world and lore, which are quite original and interesting, yet a little bit confusing at times. Now let’s address the elephant in the room…The performance is atrocious! Despite being a visual novel, you need a top PC to be able to play this game without it stuttering and lagging constantly. I guess it´s bearable, since it’s a visual novel, but it’s still annoying and baffling. It also features some brief, minimal gameplay sections, which are annoying because you never know when the game expects you to do something other than press a button to advance the dialogue or scenes. As a result, there’s always an awkward pause where you don’t know if the game is just lagging or what. And honestly, they usually just involve clicking something on the screen, so they feel unnecessar…

Wow, what a ride! This visual novel is less a game than it is a story you click through. There are no choices to be made, just a story to be told. That said, I really enjoyed it. I was drawn in by the object-head characters and stayed for the witty dialogue, the original concepts, the philosophical musings of the nature of god and the universe, etc. The art is great, and I super enjoyed that a gallery is included as an extra, with backgrounds and character descriptions that unlock as you play. If you like abstract concepts, stories that feel like fever dreams, and unique character concepts, you'll like Lap of the Gods.

Absolute Gem of a Vn. Incredible art and sprite work. You can tell passion was at the forefront of this project. Came for esoteric art. Stayed for the great story. Hope the team does more in the future.
