STORY
The Tonrar, a demonic trickster, has awoken in the Arctic. The mythical powers that are still very active in this part of the world are under severe threat. The Tonrar is spreading his darkness that is taking over both the physical aspects (ice, snow and caves) but also the mythological. The Inuit gods, giant mythical creatures; the Ice Bear, the Raven and the Narwhal are all under threat by the Tonrar. They are slowly losing their power, health and sanity - infected by this darkness. Hiko and Ataataq are the only hope, yet Hiko is physically and will need to rely on the brute strength of his powerhouse father, Ataataq.

Guiding Hiko, his physically weak but gifted son along this epic journey, Ataataq will need to rely on his brute strength to overcome many obstacles. Hiko, although more fragile than his father, carries with him supernatural abilities and magical skills that exceed the physical powers of his father.
Together, Ataataq and Hiko must traverse the arctic landscape and visit The Trinity of the Mythical Creatures to help defeat the malevolent Tonrar. Physically weak and fragile, Hiko will need the help of his father to reach the end of this wondrous tale.

✦ AI summary

Last Inua impresses with its beautiful art style, atmospheric design, and charming two-hour experience grounded in Inuit mythology, with players appreciating the dual-character mechanic switching between strength and teleportation abilities. However, the game is held back by sluggish controls, imprecise platforming, particularly frustrating flying sections with floaty mechanics and instant-death spikes, and overall barebones puzzle design that feels tedious and slow-paced rather than engaging.

this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game insists i have a gamepad connected and will not allow me to get past its first screen until i hit the buttons it's asking for on my imaginary gamepad. not even ESC does anything. i had to alt+f4 just to get back out. I even went into Steam's controller options, where it confirmed that there are no gamepads connected, so i think the Steam input itself (that is required and can not be disabled) is being read by the game as a gamepad?? How do you release a game for PC but not make it recognize a keyboard? this is the most unbelievably terrible UI I've ever seen - and I played Hunt: Showdown 1896 at its release! Oh, and the kicker? I don't even OWN A GAMEPAD. THERE ARE NO GAMEPADS IN THIS HOUSE. since i haven't even had an experience as positive as being allowed to view the main menu, i can't possibly recommend this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i'd return it if I hadn't gotten it in a bundle with another game i'd rather keep.

I got it as a deal to cheapen another game I was buying, so I had no clue what it was, but it's cute and pretty fun, although it can get annoying at the flying parts, but I'd try it lol

Last Inua is a visually striking puzzle-platformer set in Inuit mythology, and for most of its two-hour runtime I found it to be a charming, if simple, experience — switching between the father's brute strength and the son's teleportation abilities kept things interesting enough to push through. The art is genuinely beautiful and the atmospheric, mostly-silent soundscape does a great job pulling you into the frozen world. That said, the controls feel sluggish and imprecise throughout, which is tolerable during normal platforming sections but becomes a serious problem during the flying levels with Hiko — those sequences combine floaty controls, spike-filled corridors, and instant-death restarts in a way that nearly made me quit entirely. If not for those few brutal flying sections, I'd give this a mild recommendation; as it stands, I can only suggest picking it up on a deep sale if you're curious about the setting.

Overall a tedius experience, The Music and Art are great, but the gameplay is extremely barebones and slow, its a puzzle/platformer, but its puzzles arent very Engaging, the 2 hour achievement isnt even on a fast pace, hitboxes are a bit frustrating, I would recommend something else if you are looking for a platformer/puzzle game
