Spirit of the North 2

Ok first thing; I would give this a neutral rating if I could, leaning towards positive so I will round up. In my Opinion the game's really really good (also Fox!) but it's just unnecessairly big. The environmental storytelling is neat, but everything is so dragged out, you run for ever and it does get boring! Every Lore Scroll, every Story Beat could've been put into a linear, or linear/half-open-world-segments type of Story game, as the story is and stays the important part for Spirit of the North, for me. It took me some real effort to push through to the end. Yes, I could've gotten there way earlier by jkust not doing the sidemissions, landmarks, exploration etc, but this is not how I play, so I kinda forced myself into pushing through most of them. Yes, my bad, I am aware. I just think with a different design, this could've been all done within half the time, without runing for 6h of real time inbetween things, and without losing any story or storytelling. Also I play on a 4090 on a 9800X3D and the game needs upsamling to run at 4k 60fps.... why? I also tried it on a 3090 with a I7-8086k and being GPU bound it needed FSR Ultra Performance on 4k to make the 60fps. Why…

The open-world changes for this sequel is not really a thing for me sadly, I do preferred the semi open-world like the 1st game more. The map is BIG but real empty also....

This game can suck every D in the world.

Relaxing and mentally stimulating at the same time. Music is pleasant and the collectables and characters are fun. The artwork is great.
