A rather weak entry in the genre — it just didn’t manage to keep me engaged. Some puzzles were nicely done, but overall, many felt unnecessarily difficult and not particularly rewarding. Just a modest 4,5/10 from me.2 found this helpful
Having played a huge bunch of HOG's because I find them relaxing and therapeutic, I can say that even compaired to others in the genre this one makes next to no sense and is absolutely bonkers, but not in a good way. However, we play these for the puzzles and less for the stories and world building, and they are pretty good, and several of the screens are lovely. But I also have to admit this contains possibly the worst voice acting I have ever come across in any game of any category ever, and that is saying something. My goodness, why didn't you just keep it to text only? It is jarring.2 found this helpful
This review will be very similar to the previous game's review (Stolen Life). This was top tier for the genre. There was nothing unusual about the game play, but the quality of the video, the voiceovers, as well as the main game play were very good. I didn't like the story quite as much as the previous game (but the story doesn't matter much to me). The game play itself was not too serial, but also not too much running around. Lots of things to find. A variety of HOSs. The mini games were creative and not the same tired ones you see in a lot of games. Or at least they gave it a bit of a twist. Overall, I think I prefer this even to the previous game. In that one, though the mini-games were creative, I found them just a tad too hard or tedious. Whereas in this game, there were many that were definitely on the harder side, but doable and enjoyable and thus for me better than the simpler puzzles. They were thinkers, not just tedious ones or the kind where you move one thing and another moves. There WERE ones that I did skip due to being too hard or annoying, but I tried all of them and the creativity behind the ones I did finish made up for the ones I skipped. A couple of nice extr…
Love games by Five-BN. Interesting and sometimes challenging puzzles. Storyline is easy to follow and carries on from the previous game. Eight hours of gameplay to finish the main game, bonus chapter and extras. Definitely recommend, especially if it's on sale, as it is now.
