Let's Puzzle

I received a free copy of Let's Puzzle for the purpose of reviewing the game. Feature wise, Let's Puzzle is really polished and you get both what you expect and what you pay for. It supports the basic things you would expect from a jigsaw puzzle game such as custom images and background music, optional grid lines etc, but also a few nice to haves such as accessibility options (customizable saturation/contrast, inverted colors, customizable backgrounds etc), "video puzzles", an entire ranking system and multiplayer support (although I haven't tried it). There are quite a few things I'd like to see fixed in the game: - It's INCREDIBLE graphics heavy. The recommended system requirements is a i7 9900k and a RTX 3070. For a 2D jigsaw puzzle game. Because of this it's one of the few games in my library not supported on the Steam Deck, and when I ran this on my computer it idled at 50% CPU usage and almost 3 GB RAM, what on earth are those resources used for? - There is no native controller support. You can control the mouse with the right thumbstick, but it's moving too fast for me to be able to use it and you can't configure your own keymappings / stick sensitivity. - The GUI overal…

Online multiplayer did not work, the person playing with me never could see my lobby (which was set to public) Adding in music does NOT work. Puzzle pieces aren't traditional jigsaw puzzles. They're all shaped basically the same way. Selecting/deselecting "mosaic pieces" made no difference at all. Picture quality was bad. Also, puzzles could not be selected by amount of pieces like normal puzzles. You can only pick by "size" which says absolutely nothing in how many pieces are being generated. Finally, settings can not be accessed in puzzle mode.

4.5/10 Jigsaw puzzle TLDR: Notable features are online multiplayer (though of course no one is online) and the ability to create puzzles from videos (though only up to 20MB). Still, on mobile I've seen far more feature-rich jigsaw puzzle collections for free, with endless stockpiles of imagery. A neutral vote. Since it's an indie app that's not free, there would never be anyone online, so you'll probably only use this if you play it with a friend/relative - not many pictures coming with the app, mostly photos or AI-generated ones on random topics. I guess the app expects you to use your own imagery Bad: - the "mouse over" sound for buttons is way too loud. You can disable sound in the whole app but this also disables the music - the labels on the buttons have differently sized fonts which doesn't look well. I guess this is just how it comes with Unity - also the super-slow scrolling speed of scrollbars…

Functions well, has a variety of puzzles set up but the best feature for me is creating my own puzzles, choosing how difficult they are and the quality of the pictures is smashing. Video puzzles also work. Dev still updates and is in close contact with the community. Bugs get fixed extremly fast. Playing with friends also possible. Achievements are all doable, just take some time. By far the best puzzle game I've found so far.
