Pros: • I love retro pixelated GB/GBA RPG/JRPG's so they 100% hit the nostalgic factor. From the aesthetic to the sound. Top notch nostalgia ♥♥♥♥ right there buddy • Uniqueness of Monsters being animals, mythical creatures and ancient warriors is sick. Fusing them to create unique creatures takes it an extra step • So far, I'm 5 hours or so deep and I feel like I've gotten nowhere in the grand scheme of things, BUT, I FEEL like I;ve done a ♥♥♥♥ ton lmao (I feel I've gotten my moneys worth. I'll be putting a whole lot more into it, I'm just excited about how much there is to do in the game) • The sound has that...90's monsters tamer esque sound to it. Theres that game with Elves thats super popular and it has hints of that too *♥♥♥♥♥♥ wink wink cause we know how they are* • Thats theres a cheat to bypass (given to me by the dev its public knowledge lol in the game for you to bypass perma death on characters) which REALLY helps man. Might expand on this review later, but this game took me by surprise. Pros • Non-linear main campaign is like 9-11 hours • 3v3 combat with permadeath instead of 1v1 or 2v2. • Each Letalis’s moveset is flexible and decided by their fighting style’s (basically a pokemon type) preferred equipment. There are pros and cons to choosing to evolve your characters as well (mostly in terms of map navigation versus power and another hidden mechanic I won’t mention) • Low level to reach for main game (24) • Pretty dense game with side quests, ways to get legendary equipment, fusions • A large post-game • Good QoL considerations like exp share and can turn off random battles. • Developer is patching in requests from the community (the game used to be autosave only, now it’s a toggle between that or a traditional save option) • Charming text that mimics the game boy era dialogue • The intro cinematic is a great homage to Gen 1 Pokemon. Neutral: • The game boy/ game boy color graphics either work for you or don’t. I like it, but others may not care • The music is so-so. I'm having a lot of fun with this! Tons of exploration, secrets, peril, and combat. The world feels so vast, and there's so much to do and see. I'm just on my adventure, guided by rumors from NPCs and my own whims, trusty team at my side. I couldn't ask more from a monster tamer.

This game feels like what you’d get if you mixed Pokémon with the SaGa series. An insane multilayered onion of a game that keeps offering surprises and secrets all throughout. The retro styling does make for some slightly cumbersome menus and the limited number of music tracks gets a little grating. Otherwise, it’s an incredible experience absolutely packed with content. It’s a strong 9/10 with extremely communicative devs on the Discord. Glory or Death!

This game is incredible honestly. The Letalis all having unique stat growth and favorite weapons means there's a lot of incentive to try out different Letalis and see how they play. The world feels very vibrant and was very suprised when there were new npcs in areas I already visited. The combat has been pretty fun so far and I feel like there's still a lot more to see. It's great you should get it if you like the creature collectors at all.

Absolutely fantastic game. It takes me back to the OG Gen 1/2 Pokemon games in the way it looks and feels. Take a little getting used to. But once you figure out how the game works its smooth sailing. A very active Discord community that is also willing to help whenever they can when you get stuck or can't figure something out! 10/10 would play again!
