The Basics
lilGunBois is a challenging little side view 2d platform action shooting experience with a pixelated retro look! Do your best to skillfully dodge bullets and make your way through all 15 levels while racking up points along your way! Once you beat the game you'll get to start over again in an even more challenging new game plus mode that cuts your health in half and doubles the amount of points you get for each enemy that gets taken down.
Controls
You can play with a gamepad (using the dpad to move, the a button to jump, and the x button to shoot) or a keyboard and keyboard (using a and d or left and right to move, space or z to jump, and x or the left mouse button to shoot).
Saving
There's steam cloud save support and the game automatically saves your progress every time you die or beat a level.

I had a great time playing this! short and sweet. it was fun, challenging, and required a good bit of thought and hunting, especially on level 14 ;) very cheeky! beat the game on 67 mins, most of it on level 14 lol. Thank you for the fun, hope you develop more games!

Such a fun game! Reminds me a lot of the old platformer games, the green and black design gives the original Game Boy vibes. It is very basic but that is part of the charm. You have to shoot each enemy around 3 times before they die and try to avoid their returning bullets, one enemy isn't a problem, but when you have 3 or more enemies close together; it can be become tough. It does have a frustrating element, but it was never enough for me to turn off the game. It is designed in a way to make it feel as if it is your fault for failing, rather than the game design, making you want to try one more time. The music made for this game really gets you into the action, too! Just when you think you've become used to the game design, new elements are introduced that change the way you play. Elevators get you to different levels, spikes, jumping platforms, they are all used in such interesting ways that really change the game. Great game, it's cheap and comes with a collection of other games too! The card one took much of my time ;) I will be sure to look into the other games already made by this developer and keep a look out for any other games she will release in the future!
