About Limb From Limb

The Raymond Mitchell Association Welcomes You
Limb From Limb is a card roulette game about surviving encounters against a monster with your fingers as a sacrifice for losing. Between encounters, navigate your way across a board of randomized events that forces you to consider what path you take out of this accursed experiment.

Fighting Patient Zero
Engage with a patient in a lethal card game of chance. Draw from a deck of 52 cards, some of which will cost you a finger to proceed.

Collect Items
Gather from a pool of 10 different items, each with its own personality and effect. Choose which items you want to take into the encounters, but be meticulous, as once-used items are gone forever.

Escape
Traverse through the hospital using a game board and your innate strategy to succeed in the RMA program. Each attempt brings a series of mixed events to define a new experience for every patient.

Content Warning
This game may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Player discretion is advised.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the eerie atmosphere and sound design, but criticize the core gameplay as overly luck-dependent with limited strategic depth despite items and mechanics. Common complaints include excessive and annoying flickering effects, slow animations without speed-up options, and the game feeling incomplete with limited replayability and monster variety, though some note its free status makes it worth trying.

The game is completely depends on luck, you cannot outplay your opponent. Your fate is decided the moment the cards are dealt, but the game is still slow paced, it tries to create a tension. I know there are items and such, but it is not enough to create a strategy. Even though I like the eerie atmosphere, the flickering lights were too often and got annoying too quickly. I think there was and still is great potential to this game but as of now I am disappointed. So unless they change the core mechanics of the game I am not recommending it.

This is a free game so REALLY cant complain... but I am going to anyways. From the discussion board, it sounded like this was a student project, meaning there will be no updates to this game, this is the final product. Which to me sucks, because it did have potential for more replayability for time killing. My gripes and complaints... -Flickering light and sfx... way too much. Ended up just turning SFX volume to 0 -Slow animations, wish there was a speed up or skip option. -Itd be nice it turn order was randomized. You can change it, though it requires an item. -Winning animation makes no sense. A simple You win, then to the title screen, seems itd be more suffice. -The creature your playing against doesnt make sense, another human would just be better if anything. -Multiple levels. Again these our my complaints, minor to some. Again I know there will never be any updates or content... so this is more of just a time killer.

Me and the patient are in a very serious romantic relationship. We are going to be getting married but we will not be using rings because none of us have fingers anymore
