LIMINAL WATERS

This is a decent poolrooms/liminal space explorer game with occasional creepy vibes. The visuals look lovely and there's quite a variety of levels for you to explore, which eventually do leave the pool aesthetic behind and expand out into the likes of desert ruins and outer space. Mechanically, the game runs fine - there was the odd moment of jank I experienced, though I did notice the dev posted a patch whilst I was playing fixing one (possibly more) of these. Though it is a simple walking simulator, the game makes up a lot in its beautifully unsettling environments that are a joy to explore and walk through. A couple gripes: there’s no rebinding keybinds, and there is no save system so it is difficult to know when you should back out of a session (there is a chapter select so you will want to time your quitting with the start of a chapter). But the game offers a lot to explore and the environments are magnificently realized. There are some very, very, very light scares (or maybe better described as creepy moments) so if you are someone who avoids scary games, I think you will be fine here.

Really really fun with huge levels and so much more than just pool rooms.

10/10 Genuinely one of my new favorite Liminal Space/Backrooms games. Surpasses Pools and rivals the best of the genre. You can actually swim in the poolrooms now. Such a small, but impressive detail. Extremely well done spaces and the music was just icing on the cake. Every level had such unique features and incredible visuals to explore. Being able to interact with the objects was a really nice touch, alongside some parkour that I wasn't expecting in a game like this, but worked flawlessly. The journey from the pools to the end is really interesting as well and we get to see some spaces that I never would've imagined. A remarkable game and I highly recommend it. Bonus points if you take an edible first.

Got to Level 3 and there was this part where you could press the button to drain the water and there was a secret door all the way in this area where the water drained and I managed to jump over the guardrail and get down there to the secret door and the secret door said access denied but I didn't have any way back up, Hopefully you can get that fixed 'cause I feel like there should be a way back up other than restarting your game.
