Liminality (2025)

First two levels were quite good. Though others... It looks like they were VERY hastily made. Too many pointless dead-ends that lead nowhere, making you lose the desire to explore anything further. Although I love just wandering around in backrooms games and all the walking simulators, not bumping into monsters, but only encountering interactive things. Here I didn't find any. Speaking of music... it's nice, especially in the first two chapters, but because of the fact that it's a loop - got bored after a few repeats. Unfortunately, somewhere there are sounds of footsteps, somewhere there are not. In general, amazing work with light, liked the flashlight, but everything else - not at all.

I wouldn't recommend buying this game. It ran fine in the beginning but after more updates i couldn't even run it anymore after discussing this and providing logs of my installation they couldn't help me. So now i have a game that won't play and i won't get refunded because i already played it longer than the tos states.

This game is amazing. It's one of my top favorite liminal/backrooms games. You have objectives in every chapter, so you aren't just exploring like in a lot of backrooms games. The creativity, graphics, and especially the music are all AMAZING. I totally recommend this game.

This really just isn't appealing at all to me, sorry. It kind of runs poorly (even in the trailer), the Master Volume doesn't work, there is no way to disable music (nothing against the music, I just typically like to listen to ambient drone music while I play games like this). There was a really shallow joke in the bedroom in the message from the devs "I was going to add your mom to the game but she's too fat" - seriously? Are we back in middle school again? I was completely disinterested in exploring any more of the environments because they did not strike me as interesting.

I hate reading reviews like this but I very much want to like this game but it is very empty and the pacing is extremely slow. There is needless backtracking very early on due to what seems to me like lazy game design, essentially reusing an environment 3 times with very little variation. The game seems largely unfinished like the direction the developer wanted to go was nailed down but the level design isn't fully cooked yet. The game was interesting for just about as long as your average backrooms video lasts. I've played every other walking simulator, backrooms, and/or liminal game I've seen and enjoyed most. This one just ain't it.
