Liquidum

Liquidum is a really thought provoking puzzle game with a lot of content. Definitely worth puzzle fans playing this one!

So how different can a picross game become if you add on new mechanics? Quite a lot different, as Liquidum very competently demonstrates. Adding flow and gravity into the old formula may not change how the boards look too much, but it really changes how you need to look at them and think about them. With the mostly excellent level design, the game provides a set of refreshingly interesting puzzles, and some really infuriating moments when the player's deep ingrained picross thought patterns can't cope with even a relatively simple Liquidum situation. The implementation is nice, the visuals and the animations are smooth and soothing, and the music is also rather relaxing - up to 4-5 minutes, when it starts to feel very repetitive and it's best to turn it off. So many puzzle games do this - not sure why. But that's just a small detail. Overall, Liquidum is an excellent puzzle game, give it a try!

This is a delightful puzzle game that I would normally recommend to everyone that likes puzzles, as it is fun and has really fun ideas with interesting levels. The reason I am not recommending this game is the way mistakes are handled in the leaderboard. The game has mistake checking as default, meaning that if you try to do something wrong it doesn't let you, and it increases the mistake counter. It can be disabled so there are no problems there. But the issue is, the phantom mistakes you do are still counted in the leaderboard for daily and weekly puzzles. Meaning that, the objectively best way to play this game is: 1) to take a picture of the puzzle 2) solve it on paint/paper 3) enter the solution back into the game, and hope you don't misclick I cannot recommend anyone a game that forces you to not play the game to get a better score on the leaderboard. All the quality of life features in the game that you get used to while solving the campaign become useless because of this.

the game is pretty fun, but for some reason running it too long causes it to start lagging itself and everything else. give it a shot though!

I got a free key of the game from the developer. This is a fun take on nonograms/logic puzzles. It starts out pretty normal, but adds a bunch of types of clues and extra things as the game goes on. I only played the main levels but there are a lot of extra ones, plus generated ones, daily levels, and you can make custom ones. The solving is satisfying with the aquariums filling with liquid, and the look and feel of it makes for relaxing puzzle solving. For note taking - you can right click to mark an X, and there are marks for possible boats when they get introduced, but there is also a drawing mode where you can draw anything to take notes. That's super helpful for the harder levels, although it was kind of weird switching between colors (the colors switch whenever you click on the color icon for using the brush, so I'd have to cycle through, but it's just 3 colors so it's easy).
