As an avid idle enjoyer, I can recommend this game to fellow players who also like this genre. It's simple: you hatch eggs, look at cute birbs, and place decorative items, which may also help you out. Breeding is also an option here, and there are three maps to house your birbs after you set them free on your screen. I do think it should have more items available for decoration, which are more habitat-exclusive, but that's just my opinion. Having the option to either have a transparent background or select a few of the existing ones made for a great variety.6 found this helpful
7/10: A cosy little idle game where your whole mission is basically… collecting birds. There’s nothing wildly unique here, no standout mechanic. But as an idle game, it still does its job. It’s cute, it’s relaxing, and it’s the kind of game you check in on just to see which new feathered friend showed up. Compared to other idle games, it can feel a bit bare bones~, but it’s still a good, low effort time filler if you’re in the mood for something simple.3 found this helpful
Amazing idle game with many feathered friends to watch :-3 My pet pigeon would peck at the birds when he was watching my monitor :D2 found this helpful
I can't recommend Little Aviary until there is an option to turn off Leaderboards. Sometimes, I just want to play a game privately and offline. At no point did I consent to having my Steam username imported into Little Aviary and displayed to others, and yet--there it is! I'm automatically set to Lionthroat in the game, automatically ranked on their Leaderboards, and cannot shut it off. The exact opposite of what I want from a desktop pet game is having mandatory competitive elements, daily quests, and so forth.1 found this helpful
This game is clearly being vibe coded with AI, most things don't work and the overall balancing is insane. The global multiplier doesn't apply globally, the quests/mating timers don't refresh on the intervals they claim, birds quickly get "stuck" in place, two birds can successfully mate and no child is born, you're capable of buying eggs without one showing up if you click too fast, and some hitboxes are different from the aesthetic design. The artwork is very nice and cute, but that is not enough to make this game worth more than a couple bucks.
