About Loonyland: Halloween Hill
Long before he was a megalomaniacal, Elvis-impersonating, psychotic, brain-transferring mad scientist, Dr. Lunatic was a young boy, exploring the kingdom of Loonyland. Follow his first adventure in Halloween Hill, where he takes on the freakish inhabitants with an array of even more freakish weapons like a potted cactus and whoopee cushion, as he stands against Count Bonkula's evil plan. This is an action-adventure game, where you must explore to improve Loony's abilities and gain access to ever more dangerous areas, all in an effort to find out what lies behind the madness going on in Halloween Hill.

As a kid without consoles, this was my Zelda before I knew what a Nintendo was, and it still scratches an itch which contemporary action-adventure games don't quite reach for me. It's a game which plops you in it's world and expects you to unravel it like a puzzle box. While there are the standard lock-and-key progression gates, there are also good amount of areas which are open from the start; it's just a matter if you have the wits and resources to survive through them. In fact, it's open enough that this release officially adds a randomizer mode! All in all I think this is the strongest offering from Hamumu Games' legacy catalog even two decades later. Very cool and fun top down stick shooter game! It's got that retro look and feel that really calls home to me to my old E-Machines 98 days playing demos. I only played a bit, but I like what I played! Looking forward to playing more and seeing what kooky systems the game throws at me. Well made product that I fully recommend! ~ 🖥️🐁🖱️🕹️😎🆒
used to play this as a kid. Just good fun. Old but reliable i guess typa beat.
One of the best games ever! Just get it!
A fun, quick romp with spooky vibes and light Metroidvania feel. Do goofy quests, go bowling, burn vampires to ashes with a pair of hot pants. This game has a lot more content than it seems. Also a good source of nostalgia for me - I still own the original on disk! And the multitude of characters you can unlock really do spice up subsequent rounds. Give the game a try!
