Lootbawx is a casual incremental-style game created and published by Gadzoox Gaming that builds its entire concept around one of the most recognizable mechanics in modern gaming: loot boxes. Instead of using randomized crates as a secondary feature within a larger game, Lootbawx turns the act of opening loot boxes into the central gameplay experience. The result is a minimalist yet oddly engaging title that leans heavily into item collection, randomness, and light economic systems where players gradually accumulate an inventory of increasingly rare digital items. "Lootbawx" is another disgusting clicker scam game like "banana". Effectively a blockchain/NFT game, but abusing the Steam Marketplace instead of some other blockchain/wallet system... the end result is the same, this isn't a real game, it's just dumped on Steam to scam PC gamers through the Steam Marketplace. It has no value as a serious game, you just click stuff in the hopes an "NFT" marketplace item drops so the developer can get paid for the sale... and of course so the developer can sell ones that he's farmed up himself. So while this looks "free", it's only superficial. The real purpose for this game is for the developer to farm and exploit Steam Inventory items that drop through the game. They can then sell these items in bulk on the Steam Community Marketplace. This kind of Steam abuse, combined with a minimum-viable-product non-game, does no service to gamers whatsoever. This is pollution... it's harmful to everyone. It hurts genuine indie devs, who have to compete with this pollution to get visibility for their sincerely made games. It makes indie devs look bad. Lootboxer is an incredibly frustrating disappointment that completely misunderstands what makes clicker games fun. While the initial premise of unboxing rewards seems like a fun, casual time-waster, the gameplay immediately devolves into a mindless, repetitive chore with absolutely no depth. The progression is horribly balanced, forcing you to endure hours of manual clicking just to buy basic boxes, all while offering zero meaningful upgrades or scaling mechanics to reward your time. Without any automation features or strategic systems to keep things interesting, the loop becomes boring almost instantly, making it feel more like an empty tech demo than an actual game. The UI is sloppy as well, making it an even worse game. Sorry.
