Lostria

Lucky me gets to write the first review for Lostria.. I think? I feel like this is not the full, proper game, but a beta test, but this is unclear from the store page exactly what you're getting into. For that reason, in an exception to my general rule (in fact for the first time in over 5,000 Steam reviews), I'll invite the developer to correct me if I'm wrong about my observations and opinions about this game, because it does appear to be completely free, which earns developers a large amount of goodwill. Charity ends there, however, as reviews are for gamers. While this is free, it's not great. It seems like an early access kind of hex map PvP centric turn based strategy game. It feels like it's waiting for an oppressive monetisation scheme to be bolted on to it to screw over gamers. Until that happens, it's a PvP game with no players, so you need to botmatch on simple hex maps in a dumbed down kind of CCG/HOMM/I don't know what kind of turn based strategy game with small units bashing each other over RNG stuff. There's no apparent story, So while you can have a free, badly made botmatch against the AI in a poorly defined kind of strategy game, I'm not sure I can rec…

I saw another negative review from someone that only had 0.1hrs on record and was like, "that's not even a fair shot" and then I played the tutorial and understood. Game concept seems cool, but it's in such an early stage it's really not worth playing. I mean a majority of the game only has place-holder models and sketches. I'll be sure to check back after a while of updates, but as of right now how can I play an online competitive strategy game that doesn't have anyone to play with? and no pretty models, sound effects, or anything else to enjoy.
