Luck & Loot

I played around three or four runs, and I lost every single one. I couldn't win even one run. I only managed to get my character to around level 3. I think the main problem here is that the game is a roguelike rather than a roguelite. In other words, your character doesn't permanently get stronger after you die. Yes, you unlock new items and other things, but game depends on how well you play and how lucky you are. Simply playing more doesn't make you stronger. For example, I get poisoned, I get bleed, and I need a way to deal with these effects. I need to heal, but there isn't really a reliable way to do that. Let's say I lose ten times with the same character. I'm a bad player. I'm not someone who is extremely strategic or particularly good at tactical decision making. So what happens then? Am I just not supposed to play this game? The idea is genuinely great and the game is fun. But should a game like this really only be playable by people who are good at this level of strategy? I also don't want to start every run with the exact same character and the exact same items. Because I've leveled up, I can choose another option, but that option is harder and requires a more comple…

BIG BIG YES. I wasn't sure about the graphics in the beginning, but the gameplay let me forget about the graphics simplicity quickly. It is a highly luck dependent game though, beware if you dislike that. For me, I love this game and everything it has to offer. Which is quite a lot in terms of mechanics. My only negative critique would be that I missed the dice-sacrifice mechanics for a long time. They were mentioned, but by the time I needed them, I had forgotten where to find them. It's an amazing game that deserves more fans of slay the spire and other deck building games to enjoy it. I couldn't recommend it more. Now I just have to hold back before finishing it, because the content updates are still coming and I want to see it all.

This has proven to be a little strategy gem, and I couldn't be more happy that the devs are still updating the game with new content after a year!! I love how I am able to slowly develop my dice to have some awesome effects on every side and the hardcore strategizing involved. This game is very challenging, and it continues to surprise me with its depth. Keep up the good work, guys!! Y'all are killin' it!!

Solid.

Very fun roguelike based on customizable dice which contain all your skills, abilities, and attacks. You have the genre standard relics, merchant, and choosing which path to take through each increasingly difficult dungeon. Runs are fairly quick and enjoyable. It's a fun game and worth the price of entry in my opinion. I only wish there were more classes/characters to play as; although, they added the starting loadout system which does change how you build your character to a degree and is a nice addition.

Great game for those who like dice-building rogulikes, as well as for those who want to try the genre for the first time.
