Fun game with snappy controls and whimsical dark fantasy art style. I found the experience to be pretty short, not sure worth the full price but definitely on sale if you're a fan of roguelites. Just don't expect the same amount of content as Hades for example. It feels like it gets repetitive pretty soon, but still overall a fun time.
Good rougelite overall. I loved the art style and general aesthetic of the game. The combat was tight and there are fun boss fights in there. It is on the shorter side to finish, which I didn't personally mind. Only the negative side it probably doesn't have the replayability that some other rougelites do. I think this is largely due to an upgrade system that is really cool, but limiting because of how it works. I much prefer a rougelike where I can get stupid strong by playing well and taking risks. In this game you never feel truly strong. Overall I did really enjoy it, but your milleage may vary depending on how much you pay for the game.
A spectacular rouge lite/like. The lore carried over from the original game and the looping felt purposeful to the story. Defeating Mare was rewarding because of the level of challenge provided, the win is not handed to you. The different weapons and mods you can do to them feel unique and even though the game is central to the theme of random, your choices and play style matter a lot. Love this game. Love the original game. I hope this studio/Devs/IP continue to put out great games.
