[h1]Flawed But Decent Platforming Shooter[/h1] One of the surprised discoveries during Steam June Nextfest 2023. Luna Abyss is a stylish, narrative-focused shooter. The beginning can be rather slow and monotonous due to the "incomplete protagonist." It'll take some time to acquire all the essentials. Once everything is in place, the game delivers quite a satisfying bullet-hell gunplay and interesting platforming. As for the elephant in the room, yes, this game is DEI-coded in dialogues, but at least it gives you options instead of shoving the agenda down your throat. The bleak color scheme and the brutally industrialized design of the megastructures deliver an unyielding sense of ruthlessness. The sharp angles and the blocky geometry reinforce such idea. The vast and limitless reach of the levels is devoid of any emotion or warmth, like a grey goliath who belittles your very existence. I have finally played it after i bought it when it was on sale and I have been absolutely loving it! the atmosphere, design and music is fantastic and the story leaves me intrigue to continue to find out what is going on, A lot of the characters in the game are well designed and writing. I have recommended this game to many of my friends to play it.

Really great game, I booted it up yesterday and played for 12 hours straight, any game that can make you do that is probably doing something really really right, my only compliant if you can call it that is that it's not very long, i beat the whole thing in just 13 hours, but I guess it's better for a game to leave you wanting more, right? So it's a shame that there won't be any more because the entire team behind it got laid off just a month after release, really makes you wonder what the point is, make a bad game and get fired, or make a great game and still get fired, this industry sucks. Anyways Luna Abyss is great and you should probably play it anyway.

Really good. It's like if BLAME!, Bioshock, Touhou, Bloodborne and Hans Zimmer had a weird baby and jettisoned it to the moon. Took me about 18 hours for an almost-complete run through (missed about 20 collectibles) and the enemy variety, difficulty curve, traversal mechanics (there are a lot of half life jumping puzzles but with grapple/dash/double jump mechanics thrown in) and level design were pretty refined. And the OST is really good too. Story is eldritch and weird but unfolds well and you generally get the idea of what is happening without it being slapped in your face.

Solid combat, beautiful environment design and amazing audio work. Would highly recommend. The story may be a bit convoluted but there are enough codex entries to mostly figure things out.
