Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a thrilling, narrative-driven masterpiece that stands as one of the best and most pleasantly surprising superhero games ever made. Eidos-Montréal crafted a linear, story-focused adventure that completely bypasses modern "live-service" traps to deliver an experience fueled entirely by heart, brilliant writing, and a spectacular 1980s rock soundtrack. A Masterclass in Character and Narrative Heart The game follows a relatively fresh iteration of the Guardians trying to make a quick buck in a galaxy still recovering from a massive galactic war. When a routine scam goes wrong, they accidentally trigger the rise of a mind-controlling cult known as the Universal Church of Truth. Better Than the Movies: While inspired by the comics and films, these versions of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are deeply original, offering arguably the most emotionally resonant arcs these characters have ever had. I was a little put off by Starlord's voice at the start but it grew on me by the end. Absolutely loved this game and the experience I had playing it. Drax's voice lines absolutely made the game for me. Absolutely hilarious every time he took part in a conversation Accessibility is extremely friendly too. You can make it super easy or super hard and you're not punished achievement wise If you enjoyed the guardians of the galaxy movies you'll more than likely love this game1 found this helpful
