About Magibot

The Odyssey of the last chance

Follow the adventures of ILO, a small magician robot sent by humans to a planet of last resort.

With its pointed hat and Magic Book, Ilo explores a world full of hostile creatures to find the terraforming beacons. It makes its way using “magical” blocks. The powers to fly, stop time or pass through objects are all powers that will help it overcome obstacles and bravely continue its odyssey.

Magibot combines the principles of a platform game and those of a strategy game. Wisely place the action blocks upstream before taking control of your character.

Features
  • Unique blend of a platform game and a strategy game
  • 9 magical powers to acquire
  • 40 Highly interactive Levels
  • 2 game modes: Puzzle and Action

I had mixed feelings about the game, but at the end I decided to write this review as a positive one, despite the many caveats. They are not gamebreaking (unless you count broken achievements), but being better informed is the best. Magibot is a cute and quite simple puzzle game. It looks like it's been ported from mobile devices, but actually the PC version came a year before it has been ported to android and iphone/ipad. ( The 13€ game costs 3-4€ on mobiles, it's a different market) Positives of the game: quite a lot, actually. Objectively it's a good, solid product, and it works well from start until finish. It's appealing both in gameplay, and in looks. Could have a tad faster movement/game speed, but otherwise it overall has good qualities to it. Music is nice, it tries to tell a story and kinda succeeds at it so it's not just puzzle levels. Negatives, the mentioned caveats: Pet peeves, inconsistencies and problems. Annoying or dealbreaking, your mileage may vary. -First of all: this is a PC game, and someone in 2017 thought it's a good idea to use wasd, mouse and Enter at the same time. Why not F instead of Enter? There are so many buttons around wasd that would allow…

How can you not love these guys? They're giving out 30% discount for a week upon launch. The gameplay is mostly puzzle but some dex is required. If you want an action packed platform game, this is not for you. The game has nice simpe graphics and soundtracks are nice and appropriately selected. My only complain is that its kinda short. Finished 100% in about 7 hours. The game's story is simple but good enough for you to have a genuine interest/curiosity. I'd say it did its job quite well.

Magibot, developed by Studio Baikin and published by Plug In Digital, is a hybrid platformer that blends traditional side-scrolling movement with light strategic planning and puzzle mechanics. At first glance, it appears to be a charming 2D adventure starring a small robot wizard named Ilo, but its core design quickly reveals a more deliberate and thoughtful gameplay structure. Rather than relying purely on reflexes, Magibot asks players to pause, analyze, and plan before execution, giving the experience a distinctive rhythm that separates it from standard platformers. The narrative sets the stage with a simple but engaging premise. Humanity, facing extinction on Earth, sends Ilo to a distant planet in search of terraforming beacons that could offer a new beginning. Armed with a magical book and a pointed wizard hat, this small robotic protagonist must traverse hostile terrain filled with environmental hazards and strange creatures. The story remains light and unobtrusive, serving primarily as thematic framing rather than an emotionally driven arc. It provides enough context to motivate progression without overshadowing the gameplay. The defining feature of Magibot is its pre-pla…

Not what I expected. It is not terrible, just feels like a mobile game to be honest, didn't click at all.
