Warning: Asset Flip!
Matchmania Donate is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", GamesforGames, took the Match 3 GameMaker Template game assets from the real developers, YoyoGames, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. That's right... this is just the embedded tutorial for making a Match-3 game that's included with GameMaker Studio. I think it would be impossible for a scam to be done in a more lazy fashion. But make no mistake, this is a scam. GamesforGames has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Farm Day 2021" = Farm Business Engine developed by Philip Rit
"[url=https://store.steampowered.com/app…14 found this helpful

This game is hilariously unpolished and terrible. Just like in Magatch, you control the menu with your keyboard, and the rest of the game with the mouse. This cognitive dissonance inducing mess is enough of a reason to not bother with the game. Anyway, to the game. It's a simple match-3 game. As simple as it goes. No bonuses, no special tiles, nothing except a bunch of colourful donuts. Your goal is to match enough donuts of certain colours before you run out of moves. There may be too many different colours in the game, or the boards are too small. You will be looking for a good while to find that one move that you can do, especially when everything looks the same. Luckily, the game shuffles the board when there are no possible moves left, unlike other match-3 games I've played. Even though a failsafe when there are no possible moves left is obvious, it shouldn't be taken for granted, and I'm glad that there is one. This is possibly the only positive thing I can say about this game Speaking of colours, some of them may be difficult to tell apart. Especially red and orange look v…3 found this helpful

Matchmania Donate is a casual puzzle experience developed and published by Gamesforgames that builds its gameplay around a classic match-three formula while attempting to introduce additional challenge through board variety and changing objectives. It does not position itself as a major reinvention of the puzzle genre, but instead focuses on delivering an accessible experience designed for players who enjoy pattern recognition, strategy, and gradually increasing difficulty. Built around straightforward mechanics and short gameplay sessions, the title aims to provide a familiar style of puzzle solving while encouraging players to think carefully about every move. The foundation of the experience is easy to understand. Players arrange matching pieces across puzzle boards while working toward stage objectives that become more demanding as progression continues. While the concept follows recognizable genre standards, the game introduces altered board layouts and shifting requirements intended to keep individual levels from feeling identical. Rather than relying entirely on speed, success often depends on careful planning and positioning. One of the stronger elements comes from how Ma…1 found this helpful
