Somehow this game has almost no content. The principle is not bad but quite simple: make money via different options like producing goods or collecting loot in dungeons. To spice things up, you meet typical girls and via gifts, you can increase your "intimacy"-value with them. But here is the point, what is so typical for this game: Even if you reach 100% intimacy, nothing happens. Ok you get, maybe, a short textbox-dialog, but otherwise - nothing. Nothing changes, nothing happens. Its just completely meaningless. And that describes the whole game quite good. Everythin you do ist just somehow... meaningless. In the end, every day was identical: Waking up, make money by producing goods ot going into dungeon, going to bed. Everyday exactly the same stuff. Because, well, I repeat, nothing happens. Just nothing. Simply nothing. No interactions, no dialoges, no "quests", no events, just... nothing. Strange game. Feels like a rudimentary sandbox where someone forgot to add the story.
Great idea for a game, but terrible execution.
Well, what can I say? I followed this game for a long time, played the demo, watched the AI artwork change over time, bought the game on sale and paid like six bucks for it, finished the story. Was it worth it? Maybe. It's not the worst game I ever played, but there are just so many places where one has to wonder why things were being done they way they were done: Combat. This game has a very simple combat system, where you and your party of up to three employees fight one or two monsters appearing before you. The way this is being done is both your party members and the enemy combatants have small circles that fill up based on the speed stat and once all of them have been filled the attack is being executed. There are no skills or anything. This has the following consequences: 1. Higher rarity means shooting out your attack faster. 5* employees only got one circle to fill up, while 1* has five. Your character has three which is this equivalent of a 3* employee. On higher level stages you can forget about pretty much all characters that aren't at least 4* because they won't attack fast enough and the enemies wi…

I've finished the game. Have to say it's decent but there are many aspects that needs improvements. Gaining and making money is very easy in this game if you keep fulfilling customer request and find 'correct' items for selling at your store. However the ending is kinda disappointing, it's a bit bland and raising intimacy with each character here is very easy if you know the tricks...It's not very challenging tbh but if you enjoy 'casual' and easy game play with not much of rich story. I recommend this.

Dev fixed the problems, used a lot of time and energy both listening and doing their best, even as a small team and having a hard time finding the problem on their own end due to pc's of different languages ... I personally recommend the game, because I know that whatever problems might arise, these devs try their best :D

Merchant in Dungeon is a thoughtful and surprisingly layered indie management RPG that blends fantasy worldbuilding with economic strategy in a way that feels both methodical and personal. Developed and published by HexGameStudio, the game places players in the role of a struggling merchant named Hercules, whose life is defined by a crushing debt inherited from his father. Rather than framing this premise as a simple narrative hook, the game uses it as a long-term motivation that drives every system and decision, grounding its simulation mechanics in a clear and relatable goal: build a profitable business empire before time and pressure catch up with you. The core gameplay loop revolves around running and expanding a network of shops in a fantasy town closely tied to dungeon exploration and adventuring culture. Players begin modestly, managing a single store and a limited inventory, but gradually gain access to dozens of different shop types that specialize in various goods. Each store requires careful attention to pricing, stock levels, employee performance, and customer demand, and profits are rarely guaranteed without deliberate planning. The game rewards players who take the t…
