Merge (2019)

Pretty boring once you get used to it, which was pretty quick.

Merge is a free multiplayer/botmatch 2D top down shooter with a neat gimmick, you are a little like a Katamari and you must collect various things which will form your structure and weapons. You should try to collect weapons that face the right direction, because you can't change that after you've "stuck" to them. There's some novel ideas here but the technical implementation is lacklustre, with no modern HD support, just a couple of resolutions to choose from, and upscaled fullscreen mode. Controls are locked, too, and can't be changed. Those technical flaws and the limited scope of gameplay (multiplayer, with no players, and bots that are just too good) make the game unrecommendable, even though it's free.

Простота механики поначалу обманчива, но как только начинаешь понимать систему комбинаций и стратегического размещения предметов, становится интересно планировать каждый ход. Графика милая и ненавязчивая, а звуковое сопровождение не раздражает, что важно для игр, в которые можно играть часами. Однако, у игры есть и недостатки. Прогресс иногда кажется слишком медленным, особенно на поздних этапах. Это может привести к ощущению рутины и заставить зайти в игру только ради ежедневных наград. Кроме того, в некоторых областях не хватает четкого объяснения правил, что вынуждает полагаться на метод проб и ошибок. В целом, 'Merge' - это приятная казуальная игра, которая хорошо подходит для коротких перерывов или расслабляющего времяпрепровождения. Если вам нравятся игры-головоломки и вы не возражаете против grind, то 'Merge' может вам понравиться. Но будьте готовы к тому, что прогресс может быть не всегда быстрым, и иногда придётся разбираться во всем самому.

It's rubish, on controller you don't have the enter key and you need it to access anything in the menu, also I didn't find the rotate buttons on the controller, the most funny part is that they say it's best played with a controller
