- Build a thriving colony on top of a mountain deep in the sea. In order for the mermaids to prosper you have to make use of the rich marine flora and fauna. Mine minerals. Farm seagrass, algae and mussels. Lumber large kelp forests. And hunt sea creatures like jellyfish and giant shrimps. Slowly expand the colony by carefully managing its economy, production chain and distribution network.
- Care for the wellbeing of the mermaids. They all have different professions and needs. Breeding sea turtles and horses as riding animals enables them to get around more easily. Providing them with housing and workplaces as well as food, the right tools and resources is essential for maintaining their health and faith. The spiritual condition of the mermaids is as important as keeping them fed.
- A strange and horrific enemy is infesting the colony. This giant, ancient entity is spreading out and causing sporadic earthquakes. So be diligent in your maintance of all buildings. Guard your borders against the grim monsters emerging from dark, tumorous growths. The enemy is shrouding everything into darkness and is extinguishing all life.
- A sea god grants you divine powers. You gain more abilities with increasing population and faith. Priestesses will help you to keep up morale by performing singing and dancing rituals. The swift use of magic spells allows you to overcome threatening situations. You can quickly react to attacks, directly shape surroundings and drastically improve conditions for the mermaids. Gain enough power and you'll be able to force the dark horrors finally back.

Very challenging mermaid colony simulator. I have a tough time managing the resources but it satisfies my desire to have a mermaid fish tank. Look forward to the progression once i have a better grasp on it. Would be nice if there was a sandbox mode for those that don't want to deal with resources or the constant repairs made necessary by the earthquakes. Some of us would enjoy just building our perfect colony without conflict. Would be even nicer if there were mermen too.3 found this helpful
Got this on sale a while back. Pretty fun, but buggy which can make things frustrating! I had a good time building things and testing strategies - the game's help for every item/building is really nice, but it can be tricky getting the order of the workshops right. The sound design and art direction is nice. I've also put up a guide with what I learned to help you out if you're having trouble getting started or earning a particular achievement. :3 To improve the game, I would really some key bugs fixed and the behaviour of the haulers and builders streamlined/less buggy. I'd also like faster game options, but I suspect that's a bit of a pipe dream. For that I don't recommend you buy it at full price, but it's worth a play if you like colony sims and mermaids! Unfortunately, I would have loved this game if it wasn't abandoned. The game is buggy, so mermaids would at times would not build anything. They just get stuck in the process. So whenever that happens, I would have to start the game all over because the mermaids will not build anything despite having plenty of materials to make the buildings.1 found this helpful
