About MicroFab

Build. Automate. Dominate the Chip Market. The year is 2047. A decade after the Great Chip Drought collapsed the semiconductor industry, mega-corporations lie in ruins. From the ashes, a new breed of manufacturer has emerged: the μFabbers — small, agile micro-fabricatorswielding cutting-edge nano-manufacturing technology. You are one of them. Build your chip fabrication empire from the ground up. Design intricate production lines, unlock advanced technologies, and scale from simple processors to legendary quantum chips worth fortunes. But beware — Helena Voss and her Voss Dynamics mega-corp are watching, waiting to crush any μFab that threatens their monopoly. Features Deep Factory Automation
  • Design sprawling production lines across 3 factory floors — plus secret dimensions
  • Route materials with conveyor belts, splitters, sorters, lifts, and throwing belts
  • Manage defect rates, optimize throughput, and exploit the black market
  • Watch your factory come alive with satisfying visual feedback
Complex Chip Manufacturing
  • Process silicon wafers through multiple stages: etching, chemical treatment, ion implantation, and EUV lithography
  • Create 13 chip tiers — from basic X1000 processors to legendary DC4000 Dual Cores.
  • Master L4 production paths: dice wafers into mini chips for quantity, or fuse cores for maximum value
  • Manage the delicate balance between speed and quality — too many defects and your wafers shatter
Alternate Dimensions
  • Unlock the Pocket Dimension: 50% faster processing at double the power cost — but beware the void decay
  • Discover the Temporal Rift: slower time means fewer defects, with rotating platforms offering 95% defect reduction
  • Route items through dimensional portals for advanced production strategies
Strategic Progression
  • Research 50+ technologies across 7 branches: Logistics, Automation, Control, Manufacturing, Power, Quality, and Black markets
  • Unlock powerful machines like the floor-spanning Lithography Machine, Laser Reflector arrays, and the Dual Core Combiner
  • Navigate dynamic market prices with saturation mechanics — flood the market and watch prices crash
  • Choose exclusive research paths: Wafer Dicing OR Dual Core Combining — specialize your factor
Prestige System
  • Reset your factory to unlock permanent upgrades that persist forever
  • Earn prestige points based on your lifetime chip sales
  • Unlock dimension access, bulk discounts, defect reduction, and factory blueprints
  • Each run gets stronger — how far can you push your empire?
Automation Mastery
  • Deploy Controllers, Counters, and Terminals to create smart factory logic
  • Write custom automation scripts with the Terminal machine's built-in programming language
  • Set up threshold triggers, logic gates, and event-driven automation
Build self-sustaining production lines that run while you plan your next expansion NAND Challenges & Mini-Games
  • Machines jam! Pay a hefty fee or solve logic puzzles to get back online
  • Master NAND gate challenges that scale in difficulty
  • Push your luck with overclocking — faster machines that risk more jams
  • Discover secret codes for bonus rewards and easter eggs
  • Play Snake on Dr. Chen's virtual PC when you need a break
Polished Presentation
  • Watch items transform visually as they're processed — more layers mean more intricate patterns
  • High-tier chips shimmer with holographic effects and rainbow sparkles
  • Customize your factory with unlockable machine skins
  • Three graphics quality settings with advanced fluid dynamics on high
  • Atmospheric factory ambiance with dust motes and machine sparks
Characters & Story
  • Meet Dr. Maya Chen, your brilliant (and coffee-fueled) research scientist
  • Trade with Rico "Junkyard" Martinez for bulk material discounts
  • Face off against Helena Voss, the ruthless CEO determined to rebuild her monopoly
  • Uncover the story through milestone events and rival confrontations
Three Difficulty Modes
  • Easy: Learn the ropes with reduced defects and cheaper rent
  • Medium: The intended challenge
  • Hard: Punishing margins for factory optimization veterans
The Factory Awaits — Again and Again and Again Start with a single etcher and a dream. End with a multi-dimensional automated megafactory churning out dual-core quantum processors. Every belt placed, every research unlocked, every chip sold brings you one step closer to dominance. Prestige your factory. Unlock new dimensions. Master the market. The semiconductor revolution won't wait. Will you rise to meet it?MicroFab is fully playable in English, Spanish (Español), Portuguese (Português), French (Français), German (Deutsch), and Hindi (हिन्दी) — including complete UI, tutorials, and all in-game text. I want every player to experience the game in their language. I will add more translations on request!

I really wanted to enjoy this game, but you can quite clearly tell that its just AI coded. The gameplay could be fun, except for the baffling UI choices. There's a scaling option that mostly works, except for changing scaling makes minigames unplayable, text gets cut off, highlighted boxes don't match up, and more. And if you have a 1440p monitor like me, you are going to need scaling because the UI is incredibly small on default scaling. Speaking of minigames, most of them just seem to be straight up broken for me. Either the controls don't work, or the power gen puzzle especially will give me puzzles that have literally no possible solution so you are forced to pay the crazy expensive "fix immediately" price. The controls are also... interesting to say the least. For example, F1 is a help menu, logical. F2 is the settings menu, and F3 is the "main menu" which is just "cancel" "save and exit" and "exit". Every time I try to quit the game, I would have to go into the settings and look at the controls menu to see how since alt+f4 does not work. While I appreciate disclosing that claude was used to code the game, its pretty obvious regardless since the game is just built on electron …

While I like the concept the execution leaves a lot to be desired. First thing first, if you have a large monitor you can either pick between larger text but a UI that does not know what to do, or very small text - Much of the text is also on colors that makes it even harder to read, research is especially bad here. Constant pressure to earn more money via increasing rent price, while the products you sell are worth less via saturation. - Forcing the player to make new and better chips is OK, but after the tutorial there isn't much clarity as to "how" to make the next gen chip, leading to a death spiral Constantly having to purchase more resources, barely scraping by. It just gets stressing without adding anything to the actual gameplay.

I'm only a few hours in and I'm already kinda hooked... Asides from a few minor bugs this is a really fun production line game! Similar to games like Automachef but with a really sick UI and a cool premise Don't know whether to love or fear the complexity that comes my way as I delve deeper into this game

A factory optimisation/ puzzle game, with a surprising level of depth given the low price. With with this type of game I can sometimes be overwhelmed by the number of options immediately available, and struggle to find myself a goal to progress towards. I found Microfab really shines in these areas. There always seems to be an interesting technological hook or new production style to progress towards, and working out the optimal path is enough of a puzzle enough to make you feel clever without stalling progress for too long. So far I'd recommend this game for fans of the genre who want a lighter, easy to jump into game that doesn't sacrifice depth.
