About FOUNDRY
Build an unlimited automated factory on a procedurally generated planet, progressing from manual crafting to fully optimized production lines that feed interplanetary trade networks. Design intricate conveyor systems, power grids, and assembly chains across an infinite voxel landscape—solo or in co-op—while managing bottlenecks and unlocking advanced technologies to dominate the galaxy.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.
- Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
- Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
- Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
- Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
- Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
- Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
- Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
- Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.
Build Anything, Anywhere
Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build. Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.Automate Everything
Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production. You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.
Optimize to Perfection
Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines. Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

Not a bad game, if not a little basic, very similar to the better Techtonica. Enjoyable as much as Techtonica just simpler. My only real complaint is the helper and narrator takes a while to get used to, could have been more appealing. I also struggle with the belt loader system which could have been more automatic for how you place them... Could have been more aesthetically pleasing, overall, like other automation games. I was spoiled by Techtonica and found this one a little irritating in comparison. If I had started with this one I might have forgiven more. This one is not a bad game just not nearly as good as it could have been... Left me with a sour taste. It is also tough to do anything in it, making it irritating and more grinder than other well done games.2 found this helpful
It's not appealing and there are many small reasons why. The controls are a little strange, the belts are awful. The narrator is off-putting. Everything all together just ends up being unappealing for the first few hours. Then you see the galaxy map and a few other ideas added to the factory genre and get where they are going with it. There are some QoL merits. Smelters automatically make the correct recipe based on input. A map with your placed buildings is nice. The Minecraft block terrain is also nice, as are the generated worlds. It has a lot in its favor. That less than 15% of players attain the achievement for making the 2nd type of science (it copies Factorio in this way) means most people start and quit very early in the game. I understand why they quit, the first impressions are not good. Still, it's not a terrible game. It just doesn't suck you in for some reason.1 found this helpful
lots of fun
Pretty good, Some rough edges, lacking some shortcuts, QOL stuff in general, but its workable.
Was quite unsure before buying, but really glad I did; If you like building factories, then yeah, this one is great. I haven't encountered any bugs, other than a turtle flying through the stratosphere, and don't really have any big points to criticise. It does lack a few QoL things though, namely blueprints, and needs a little refinement regarding the internal knowledge base. Feedback to the devs: - Playing with neon lights is fun - when more colors? - Just generally provide either a huge light, an option to deactivate the night, or a much better flash light, because building in the dark is a little annoying - Make the explanations have a pin-point, brief summary, that gives specific info without any fluff. Had to google why my modular buildings weren't building, and if there was something like "Needed Buildings: Transport Ship Port, Construction Ship Port, Warehouse", I would've been set. - The ramp-up to the modular power generators is STEEP. Had to build a bazillion things to get started, so it would be better if the progression was more natural there - Robots should give a much higher boosts to be viable in early- and mid-game, because otherwise it is much easier t…
