About Micromanagement
Bacteria have a hard life. All they ever think about is survival and propagating across anything they touch. Until now! Your species has developed psychic powers - and debatable levels of intelligence. Now, it's your job to command, control, and conquer everything in sight.
- Control your mutation tendencies: Prioritize between speed of reproduction, combat power, mutation rate, cooperation, and psychic strength. Everything is important - but the right ratio depends on the situation.
- Rule the petri dish with psychic powers: Gain abilities to control any situation - delve into information, enhance yourself, destroy your enemy (and yourself) in droves, alter your environment, and even control fate.
- Use the tiny terrain to your advantage: Every obstacle can be overcome, bypassed, or used to blockade the enemy. You can use what is given to you or even better, make your own!
- Advance to learn the epic plot line: All right, it's not very epic. What do you expect? You're bacteria! Even so, your microbial world is threatened, and it's up to you to do something!
- Overcome challenges to earn upgrades: Push through difficult situations, limit your power while succeeding, or solve intricate puzzles and mysteries. Each of these can grant access to lasting upgrades that can be used on all future games.
- But wait, there's more!: Still not done? Still not HARD ENOUGH? Play (or replay) with increased difficulty, opening even more upgrades.

This game is a weird trip into a colorful and humorous world. Only got a small taste of it, and really liking it so far. The visuals are a treat, and there seems to be enormous depth to the gameplay. The music and sounds really adds to the cool strangeness of the game. My only regret is buying this game at 2 am in the morning before leaving on a trip because I look really forward to digging my teeth into this little gem.2 found this helpful
Definitely an interesting strategy game based on the partial differential equation dynamics of a mutating bacteria strain. The sliders affect the mutation of the bacteria, which will face off against a competing growing bacteria. If you don't make your bacteria aggressive enough it will die off when the other one spreads, but if you don't put enough emphasis on division rate at the start you will not have enough bacteria to stand a chance. If you are interested in mathematics of dynamical systems (competing species), this is recommended to try out. I would definitely like to see more games explore this kind of dynamical systems based approach strategy, as this unique gem combines a nice blend of real time dynamical systems strategy game with geometry and biology and has a decent tutorial.1 found this helpful
It's pretty good.
