Game and art work look good but the game mechanics are very sub-par. I think two things that would make this drastically better is being able to block and actually having a key guide. I also would say that making the pirate boss so spammy and no way to really evade or block his attacks kinda killed the game for me. One last thing I would change is the life system since it isn't very clear. When I have 12 coins i drop 10 but I only need 2 coins for it not to be a game over. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense since it seems hoarding coins doesn't help in the long run. I think it would be a better system if it had a set number of coins to revive regardless of how many your holding. All in all I think i could be a good game but the way it is currently its not very user friendly.14 found this helpful

It's a nice game for fans of H side-scrollers. The animations and game mechanics are good, no disappointment there. It also has a decent level of difficulty that can keep you engaged. The things that need work are both the controls, which you can get around by mapping the keys on the native Steam controller support, and the game physics which remind me of NES-era Castlevania games.4 found this helpful
