About Mine of despair

In a World of Heroic Fantasy…

In a heroic fantasy universe inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, take control of one of six prisoners with a troubled past and intertwined destinies. Each has their own reasons for being imprisoned, but all share a common goal: freedom. Their only chance at redemption? Delving into the depths of an ancient, mysterious, and perilous mine, famed for its hidden treasures and the fearsome creatures that dwell within.

Your Mission: Exploration and Survival

Your goal is simple but challenging: extract vital resources while surviving the horrors lurking underground. You’ll be sent into the mine with increasingly demanding daily objectives. To break free from these constraints, you must venture deeper, facing greater darkness and rising dangers with each level.

Randomized Characters and Unique Traits

Each new playthrough offers a unique experience with randomly generated characters:
  • Customization and Variety: Prisoners are randomly generated, featuring specific classes, varied skills, and unique negative traits that impact gameplay. This system encourages players to adapt to their character’s strengths and weaknesses, making each session unpredictable.
  • Challenges Linked to Negative Traits: Characters come with distinct handicaps, requiring strategic choices to optimize their skills or overcome their weaknesses.

The Prison: Center of Quests and Intrigue

The prison is far more than just a starting point:
  • Personalized Quests: Each character may receive unique quests influenced by their past and motivations. These quests reveal more about each prisoner’s story, with unique rewards based on completed missions.
  • Oppressive Atmosphere: The prison serves as a return hub, where characters meet other inmates and discover alliances or rivalries that enrich the storyline.

Descent into the Mine: A World of Perils and Treasures

The mine is much more than a mere network of caves; it’s a living environment where every step could be fatal:
  • Increasing Dangers: The deeper you go, the more formidable the enemies and traps become. The treasures and resources discovered are worthy of the risks players take.
  • Supernatural and Horrific Creatures: Prepare to face increasingly terrifying monsters. Between lurking creatures and deadly traps, each descent is a test of courage and strategy.
  • Exploration and Atmosphere: The mine is rich with labyrinthine corridors, ancient mysteries, and relics of forgotten civilizations, offering treasures as captivating as they are frightening.

Gameplay: Cooperation and Sacrifice

Face the mine solo or with friends, in a team of up to 6 players:
  • Solo or Multiplayer Play: Play alone or with up to 5 other prisoners, discovering a group dynamic that’s essential for survival in the mine.
  • Strategy and Coordination: Each character can use their unique skills to aid allies or overcome traps. However, in the most perilous situations, a sacrifice may be necessary to ensure the team’s survival.

Conclusion: How Far Will You Go for Freedom?

A prisoner of your own past, yet the master of your destiny… Will you descend far enough to uncover the secrets of the mine and attain your freedom? Or will you remain forever trapped in the darkness ?
