Mini Lucy

Mini Lucy is such a charming little platformer that I immediately liked the idea of turning an ordinary bedroom into a giant adventure. I play as Lucy, who wakes up only a few inches tall after a strange green crystal changes everything around her. I really enjoyed seeing everyday objects become huge obstacles because it gives the whole game a playful sense of scale that feels perfect for a small adventure. The platforming is simple to understand but surprisingly enjoyable. Books become cliffs, crayons become giant platforms and toys turn into obstacles that I have to climb around. I liked moving through the room because the environment itself is basically the level design. Instead of exploring a traditional fantasy world, I am constantly looking at ordinary objects from a completely different perspective, which keeps the exploration feeling fresh. Collecting crystal shards gives the adventure a clear purpose. I have to search around the room and reach awkward locations while gathering the pieces needed to return Lucy to her normal size. I enjoyed exploring every corner because the collectibles encourage me to look beyond the obvious route. The process also gives the platforming …
