About Minimalist Box

Minimalist Box – A multi-level Sokoban challenge【About this game】Minimalist boxes is an innovative puzzle game with Sokoban as the core gameplay, redefining the classic mental challenge through four distinct physics rules. Journey through 96 carefully designed levels, experience new puzzle-solving dimensions from traditional logic to unique themes, and feel the intellectual storm brought by each step in the seemingly simple movement of boxes.▌Four dimensional themes, breaking through the stereotype• Classic Echo (24 levels)Relive the sheer fun of the golden age of Sokoban and solve retro-style puzzles with precise step counts using the most basic pushing rules in the grid maze. Each level is the ultimate test of spatial planning skills.• Double-sided (24 off)Step into the realm of quantum entanglement! Note: Different chests need to reach different destinations, e.g. red chests cannot reach blue destinations• Gravitational (24 levels)When the box has gravity, the place that looks like a dead end may be the secret to clearing the level! Take control of the gravitational boxes that attract each other, make the boxes attract each other, and plan the best route! Note that normal chests cannot be attracted.• Ice (24 levels, stay tuned)Predict your predictions on the eternal ice! Once the block is pushed, it will slide to the end of the path, so take advantage of this feature to push the box to the end! Every slip is an irreversible game of time and space.▌Core features◆ 96 hand-polished puzzles: 24 levels of progressive difficulty curves for each theme, from beginner guide to brain-burning level◆ Dynamic physics rule system: The unique interactive logic of each world brings 4 completely different puzzle-solving experiences◆ Minimalist art style: no bells and whistles, enjoy the most original Sokoban!◆ Puzzle data analysis: Have a record of the number of steps you have cleared, challenge your limits, and find the best solution in many routes!【For such players】✓ Classic Sokoban enthusiasts looking for rule innovations✓ Physics puzzle addicts crave multi-dimensional challenges✓ Strategy gamers pursue the thrill of precision computing✓ Casual users enjoy progressive brain workoutsJoin this cross-dimensional pushbox revolution now and prove that you're the best master of space strategy in the multiverse in the collision of classic rules and physics anomalies! ✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's solid puzzle design with well-balanced difficulty and a good progression of new mechanics across chapters, along with genuinely fun and original level layouts. However, they criticize the game for being a fairly direct Sokoban clone without significant innovation, technical issues like broken progress saving and non-functional achievements, and missing quality-of-life features like windowed mode and customizable controls.

This is basically a ripoff of Sokoban (Copyright Hiroyuki Imabayashi, 1982). Some "amateur" developers seem unaware of inconvenient things like copyright law, shamelessly "borrowing" entire the game mechanics and ideas of actual professionals in a really direct manner. The "developer" in this case is no exception. Stealing someone else's game is morally and creatively bankrupt, but worse, they're breaking the unwritten rule of game development, if you steal someone else's game, you have to at least try to do better... this is an incredibly poor imitation, worse than the original. As always with Sokoban ripoffs, this is Sokoban... you got a puzzle grid, you push boxes around to get them to the right spots so you can leave. Yeah, playing this definitely made me want to leave. There's some gimmicks around changing the properties of boxes by pushing them into special spots on some puzzle levels, but this adds nothing of interest to an obsolete, decades old copyrighted game. The "developers" walked away from this 10 months ago. This is never getting finished. This unfinished game is just polluting the store and making it harder for people to find real, actually finished games. Thi…

Game with 72 small, original and fun puzzles (it's expected to have 24 more). I played it in different sessions/days and every time I entered the level menu (which is divided into four groups) my progress didn't appear. After unlocking the second and the third groups, I had to enter the previous one(s) to be able to enter the one I wanted. Two achievements are not working ("Classic" and "Don't jump..."). And I miss common features, like windowed mode and extra keys options: arrows (besides wasd), undo (Z) and restart (R) keys.
