About Mirrors - Tomblight Edition

Mirrors is a light reflecting puzzle game inspired by The Mummy and the Ancient Egyptian method of reflecting light with mirrors.

You play as an adventurer searching for treasure in a vast number of tombs. To navigate through the tombs, reflect beams of light around using the mirrors that are at your disposal. Hit the receptacle with the light and the door to the next tomb will become unlocked. The deeper into the ruins you venture, the more dangerous it becomes. Overcome obstacles, avoid traps and defeat enemies while attempting to complete each tomb and retrieve the Canopic Jars.

When you're done searching for treasure there are other ways to put your adventuring skills to good use. Why not put yourself to the test in the timed mode? Think you're better than a Pharaoh? Try your hand at creating your own levels with the Level Creator, then head on over to the Curator's Well and show them off to your friends.

Good luck, adventurer!

This game is what indie puzzle games should be, unique, challenging and fun above all. There are loads of levels to progress through in each stage of the map which get trickier in each stage but manageable as you learn the fundamentals of the game. Loved the mummies and various traps, the level creator was a joy to play about with too!

Mirrors is a good addition to the puzzle genre. It has enough mechanics that make its gameplay easy to play but difficult to master. There's a surprising number of stages too. At time of writing, I've played two and a half hours and am still unlocking new tombs to be completed. The Curator's Well feature is also well-realised, and decent to use. Sadly, there isn't a way to share your created levels with others, but there seems potential for this in the future. The game has been regularly updated since launch, with plenty of bug fixes and improvements. They also added Steam Achievements and localisation. This game is good value for money considering the content included for the price. Summarise: + Solid gameplay, easy to play and difficult to master + Plentiful levels + Haven't encountered any bugs + Regular updates in response to user feedback + Level creator is fun to experiment with + Potential for growth + Good value for money - Level creator UI can be confusing at first. Open menu, select item, close menu, place item. - Unable to share creative levels via social media or workshop (for now, according to developers)

Apart from losing my hearing permanently upon starting up the game, neat little game to kill some time. At its current price (0.80 euro) its a thumbs up from me.
