MMORPG Tycoon 2

Find myself going back time and time again to play this game, its really addicting. Couple that with periodic updates that add free new features and content to the game (in the age of every game charging you for "new DLC") I got to say, I love this game. Well done

Ever since I was a kid, I spent HOURS in various MMOs; Wizard/Pirate101, Toontown, FusionFall, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, City of Heroes, DCUO, WoW, hell even Family Guy Online (anyone remember that?). Whenever I wasn't online I also spent an inordinate amount of time on Rollercoaster Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon 2, and SimCity 4. I list these games to emphasize how much this game was made for ME, and anyone else who grew up on a game list like it. You can truly run your MMO your way, there are multiple valid strategies to make a profit either fairly or via microtransaction hell. It has that classic tycoon feel of having to make smart business decisions to save cash early on and snowballing after becoming a smash hit. I have not encountered bugs in either my ~20 hrs of steam time or my ~36 hrs of an old outdated copy from the seven seas. That's right, this game was good enough to make me convert from a copy that came from Blackbeard's stash.

A (mostly) one man passion project

I played this game a few years back, threw 50hrs or so into it and had a lot of fun. Recently I came back to it to finish off the remaining few acheievements and to see if there was anything new, and I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. I had a similar experience to last time, but with plenty of new updates, dungeon creation being the biggest noticable change. I can't recommend this game enough- however there are a few things I would love to see added at some point, to really complete the game: - Professions. This is intergral to the real life MMO experience, and it's a shame it doesn't exist yet in this Tycoon game. I could totally see how this would work, researching professions to unlock 3 main ones, and then further research to add additional professions that you could possibly customise. Would be nice to be able to place down Profession trainer NPCs, and profession nodes around the world. - Neutral NPCs. At the moment, I'm using Guard NPCs to place down things like chickens, cows, and other neutral NPCs that I don't want the player necessarily going out of their way to kill- but I'd like to give them the option to. - Expanded Individual NPC Customisation. It's a good game that I can play for a bit go to another game and come back too without worrying what i was in the middle of doing and just continuing to build.

Awesome game, huge customization options and the devs keep on giving!
