About Mostroscopy
Mostroscopy is a fighting video game that takes up the aesthetics of the horror and Luchador films of Mexican cinema from the 1950s, with an eclectic roster of monsters and masked Luchadores and a simple gameplay style with a retro presentation.
Each fighter has their own attacks, but they use a simplified command system inspired by Smash Bros and Street Fighter x Tekken. Each fighter has 3 basic moves, the normal attack, a special attack and a guard button.

That doesn't stop you from making very satisfying combos!

The Fighter Roster includes Masked Luchadores, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts, Mummies, primal monsters... and more are on the way!

- Mostroscopy includes the classic arcade mode where you can face the final boss and know the fate of each of your fighters
- Versus mode for two players in local mode
- Online mode (With random matchs, and custom rooms)
- Challenge mode where you can perform different combos with each character
- Training mode to practice your most creative combos.
- Anaglyph 3D mode for that satisfying retro effect. (3D glasses not included)

GIVE THESE DEVS ALL THE BUDGET IN THE WORLDDDDD!!!!!!!2 found this helpful
I cannot wait to sick this game on the people at my locals during a mystery tournament. It's not the deepest game but it definitely has sauce, and the style/music is immaculate.2 found this helpful

Original fighting game with unique mechanics and visual style1 found this helpful
It's got a unqie visual as well desgin style ebing based off old horror movies, some clear anime influences (that to my knowledge are big in the mexico) and luchador wrestling. Which is geunily truly inspired! The combat has a very simple system which makes it great for pick up and play as well as being able to do some suprising things to great crazy combos! There are a few down sides, the game is kinda jank and even buying the dlc from steam seems to be a bit janky, the filters all over the game and espically on the main menu makes it quite diffcult to look for people who are visaully impared. Overall it's a fantstic and fun game that will be looped into my regualr "force my freinds to play fighting games with me" lists of games.
A decent game that was unfortunately not for me.I refunded, but I recommended trying it as it does have a cool presentation and is easy to pick up and play. A few things bothered me that lead to me refund the game: -some hit boxes are way off which results in hits that are visually misses -due to easy inputs and lack of recovery on some moves certain powerful attacks are spammable -the sound effects for hits are lacking compound this with low hit stop and the fighting here doesn’t feel impactful at all - black and white stages should be a choice as the make the action even more hard to read. I may try to pick this game up again in the future but only if the game receives more polish and balance. If it does, I’m totally on board as I like the game aesthetically it ,for me , just doesn’t hold up in the gameplay department.
