Mortal Kombat 2011 is praised for its gorgeous graphics, excellent costume design, fun story mode with entertaining 90s action-movie charm, and solid co-op gameplay that captures the classic feel of earlier entries. However, players consistently criticize the unfairly cheap boss fights that spam overpowered moves with no variety or cooldowns, and some minor frustrations like inability to skip cutscenes with a controller detract from the experience.
this is avengers infinity war we have in 2011 except everyone died effortlessly because of bad writing2 found this helpful
Mortal Kombat (2011)
Story mode is SURPRISINGLY pretty decent. Plot itself is written like a 90s B category Action movie, but not in a bad way. Characters are fun enough and the story is entertaining enough (even though some things UNFORTUNATELY were a bit lacking in terms of story development). Boss fights suck ass, man. I cannot express enough how f***ing abysmally cheap those are, bosses have absolutely NO unique attacks, IN FACT, it feels like bosses only got like 3-4 moves that are already overpowered and bosses just spamming those without any cooldowns. Artstyle is absolutely gorgeous! Textures, lightning, overall graphics are above and beyond Godlike. Costume design is f***ing incredible! Possibly the best in MK franchise, with the only complaint being: A COUPLE of female fighters costumes just being straight up sauceless jigglybones showoff, but overall like solid 95-99% of character designs are absolutely AMAZING and overall costume attention to details and style are GODLIKE! Also, game's gore and attention to its details on the costumes and models of the Kombatants themselves are... Well... Horrifyingly Impressive, Impressively Horrifying and overall taste…
IDK why they disabled selling this game like this ♥♥♥♥ ain't better than whatever in the absolute ♥♥♥♥ mk1 or mk11 is.
Feels great, just like Mortal Kombat Trilogy did on the PS1 for me. The best part is being able to play Co-op Tower with my buddy! It's a shame no one makes co-op tag-team fighting games anymore.
This game is awesome and I can tell the devs had a lot of fun - the characters, the animations, the locations, it gives the same legendary vibe as UMK3 I played on Sega but on its own it's also a great visual fighting masterpiece. The fact that you can't skip cutscenes on controller is ridiculous though, so it's 9.5/10 for me instead of 10/10.
