A Quick Look at the Story
This sequel continues the story from the previous title, putting you in an adventure where you must escape mysterious ruins while avoiding eerie, enigmatic dolls. As you explore, you uncover secrets that were left unresolved before and gradually reveal the true nature of the mountain.
In-Depth Review
This sequel opens on a much stronger note than its predecessor, Mountain’s Memory. Right from the start, there's a noticeable improvement in design and player guidance. The overall experience feels more polished, thoughtful, and immersive. One of the first things that stands out, before starting the game, is the detailed sound design. The ending isn't worth the aggravation of running around and gathering the tools. 3/10

Mountain's Secret adds some explanation to the Mountain's Memory experience. Still nothing groundbreaking takes place with Mountain's Secret as it is the typical - get chased by a deadly Doll whilst trying to find useful items - required in order to escape from this ordeal. I am not a great fan of this type of game because they all seem to meld together and are usually too similar to one another that the category has becomes dull and wearisome. Although, if you recognize this as fun, then you will enjoy this game that actually has difficulty settings to select from depending on your skill level. I really appreciated the ending conversation that helped elaborate on the reasons why you just went through all the previous activity and just what the Doll and the Mountain were all about. Perhaps if there is another sequel, it could be more about exploration, discovery and puzzles, with much more narrative and much less being chased about frantically trying to obtain an uninteresting goal of merely escaping with your life.
