Mushroom Musical is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a very badly made 2D platformer with a rhythm element and while the graphics may make this appear family friendly, it's too frustrating, clunky and badly made for it to be enjoyable for kids. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality produc…

Harder Than Dark Soul Boss Battles.

Thought I'd try this game real quick, but ended up playing over an hour and delaying the house chores for another day! Time well spent though. Had a lot of fun trying to figure out the required sync of each level. Which is nerve-racking when your in the middle of it and very rewarding once you get your little mushroom all the way through. Kept wondering, as you progressed in each level, what other hat dressed animal or object might I encounter next? Which is absolutely impossible to anticipate, as this game is so lovely random, and gives you a good chuckle for each new unique challenge.

already beat the game, good concept and challenging gameplay.. I hope there will be workshop for this game..
