About My little sister: Prologue

Synopsis

Suhan, a high school student, feels frustrated because he can't get along with his younger sister Sunmi. One day, while visiting his friend Jinyong's house, he sees Jinyong getting along extremely well with his own sister. Jealous, Suhan hears Jinyong say, "I didn't always get along with my sister either, but this helped us," and Jinyong hands him a small stone. That stone possessed a mysterious power to change things that happened in the past. Suhan uses the stone to alter the unpleasant memories he had with Sunmi one by one, and because of the changed past, he gradually grows closer to her. Suhan becomes absorbed in changing the past, and then unexpected things begin to happen...

Generally this genre of game is called Visual Novel. (Ex : NEKOPARA, Sakura series...)
As you read the story, your choices at branching points will change the development, and you'll be able to see various endings.※ The Prologue version ends before the branches begin.

Purpose

The goal is to become close siblings with Sunmi by using the time travel stone. When you travel in time, your actions toward Sunmi will change your present relationship with her.Not everything that happens when you travel through time is necessarily good. The ending will vary greatly depending on when you stop using time travel.

The Prologue version ends before the branches begin.

✦ AI summary

Players are sharply divided on this visual novel prologue. While some find entertainment value in the poorly written dialogue and appreciate hints of potentially interesting story directions, the majority criticize the significantly flawed writing, numerous grammar and spelling errors, and the feeling that it's an unfinished advertisement rather than a complete game experience. The general sentiment suggests the project has potential but needs substantial writing improvements and more substantial content to be worth recommending.

My little sister: Prologue is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This isn't even a full e-book, it's an advertisement for an e-book the developer didn't even write yet. It's made with Adobe Flash/AIR, so it's got a garbage engine behind the garbage writing. Oh, did we mention just how incredibly creepy it is for this Korean high school anime club dropout to be writing trash e-books about how much he wants to date his little sister/waifu or whatever? I just threw up in my mouth a little. Needless to say, there's no value in the creepy, cringey subject matter of this weird e-book. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the …

Hard to recommend with the current quality of the writing. Not sure if the developer is a native English speaker or not, but I would highly recommend that the developer have someone with better grammar proofread the text. The level of mistakes here is pretty bad. Its more readable than your average machine translation, but I've seen sentences with at least three major, obvious spelling errors. The plot is a bit out there in terms of suspension of disbelief, but there are at least some interesting potential directions hinted at. There isn't a lot of content to judge, though.
