I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…4 found this helpful
I wanted to love it and even though I refunded it, I don't think it deserves a negative review, since my issue is not what it is but what it isn't. This feels like a forgotten arcade game from the 90s, and I love that aspect. Great artwork, comedy, and style. And it pulls that off almost perfectly. The problem is, that is its biggest issue. After one or two runs I lost interest because the game lacks any progression. You play the same mansion every time and all you can gain is a higher score. It needs a true single player mode. Even just having levels that change the order of rooms and certain items unlocked along the way. Just something more to create any intrinsic goal to keep going. There's just little reason to play more than a couple of times. It's a shame because clearly a ton of work and love went into this but unless I saw this as an actual arcade cabinet for some quick fun, I don't see the value in it as a steam game.
Cool arcade game to play in short sessions. Every room is filled with reference to horror movies of the past with the main hero being a surrogate for Reggie of Phantasm. Get it.
Great little gem. 11/10 !!!
this is a great arcade style game fun not gonna lie i tore my eyes out from raging lol, alot of repeatability really hope for an update
I'm usually not a fan of arcade beat-em-ups but for some reason I was really addicted to this game for a while. Not entirely sure why. If you really like the theme and art and would like to spend a few hours trying to save everyone, give this a whirl. It isn't expensive either.
