https://youtu.be/XR-yX9sh_Q8 Due to the age of this title and the awkward controls, it is unlikely that any of the animals that check into this hotel will checkout.2 found this helpful
Played this game as a child, nostalgia is still with me.1 found this helpful
My Pet Hotel, developed by Independent Arts Software and published by familyplay and Markt+Technik, is a casual simulation that centers on managing a boarding facility for animals, offering a structured and accessible take on pet care. It presents a straightforward premise: animals are left in your care, and your job is to keep them healthy, clean, and happy while gradually improving your hotel. The game is clearly designed with simplicity in mind, making it easy to approach but also limiting how far its systems can develop. The gameplay revolves around completing a variety of tasks tied to animal care. Feeding, grooming, cleaning enclosures, and treating minor health issues form the core of the experience, all delivered through small, interactive mini-games. These activities are easy to understand and require little learning curve, allowing players to quickly settle into the routine. Early on, this variety gives the impression of a dynamic system, but as the game progresses, it becomes clear that most tasks follow the same basic patterns, with only slight variations depending on the animal. Each pet comes with its own needs and characteristics, which adds a touch of personality …
I remember this game from my childhood. It is very simplistic, but if you have the patience to get past the opening level, which can be a little repetitive, then the activity really builds the more pets you get. It isn't flashy, but it is quite good fun.
I was so excited to finally find my favourite animal game from when I was a kid. But I wasn´t even able to play the game because it was so full of bugs. It´s really a shame and a waste of money. I shouldnt be posible that Steam asks to pay 14,99 for such a crappy game!
This game definitely shows its age, and it did not age well. There are no tooltips on the menus and no tutorial to help you learn how to play. Once I taught myself how to manage things I found myself standing idly more often than not because there's just not enough to do. They give each pet it's own needs but the needs don't mean anything. If you're looking for a management sim to keep you busy, pass this one. https://youtu.be/vKRwFjxrzkE
