As one of the later installments, it doesn’t just aim to deliver another isolated case—it reaches back into the series’ history, attempting to expand its overarching narrative and give greater context to one of its most memorable antagonists. This shift toward a more interconnected story gives the game a stronger narrative identity than many of its predecessors, even if it still relies heavily on familiar gameplay structures. The central premise immediately sets it apart. Instead of approaching the mystery from a distance, the player is placed in an unusual and morally complex position: inhabiting the body of Charles Dalimar, a key figure tied to past events in the series. The storyline is a bit too short in terms of the game duration, if you compared it to the other MCF games in its early period. I finished it around 5 hours or maybe less. The story gave you perspective on Dalimar's youth and "IF" story if he was caught in his youth.
Bug in the stained glass puzzle. Rage quit.
A very good game. Good puzzles, good graphics.
Good old Mystery Case files, always delivers. Maybe the graphics can improve on these sort of games but loved the puzzles.
