About Mythicard
⚠️ Note from the DeveloperMythicard is a small free project I created back in 2020 during the pandemic. It’s no longer in active development or being updated, but I’m keeping it available for anyone who wants to check it out.
The battlefield consist of an arena that can hold a maximum of eight cards.
Each round players are given the opportunity to purchase, save and sell cards, level up and rearrange their card's attack order.
After all players are ready or the time runs out, the battle starts, and players are matched on 1 vs 1 combat against one of its opponents set of cards.
The battle unfolds automatically, the mythical cards attack and use their powers until one player has no cards remaining, at which point the player that loses is damaged based on the level of the remaining cards in the arena.
The last player alive gets the Victory Medal! and get all the affinity points obtained during the game!

Mythicard combines auto battlers gameplay with new mechanics inspired by mythology, is an strategy game where players battle online against five other opponents with the goal to be the last one standing by having the strongest army of cards.Why Should You Play Mythicard?
Mythicard is designed to be flexible and fair to all players, the Affinity mechanics gives you the option to modify how will the game be played by you, letting you play as you want, there are no decks in Mythicard, don't worry about not having the card you want, everyone in the game pick cards from the same shared pool, so you only need to think about how to command your mythical creatures and be the last one standing!Strategy

This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] This is shallow for a deckbuilder, pick/buy/sell cards then let the battle work itself out, so there's less strategy involved than usual, but I still think the main cause of failure here was just a really sloppy, unpolished, browser/Flash like technical delivery with laughably poor artwork and everything else feeling phoned in. So, "Mythicard" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! [i]Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails.[/i] Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result.
