So the gameplay is fun, if you like classic arcade shooters. The feeling I got was something akin to a Contra or a Space Invaders, but in a 3D wind tunnel. I can honestly say it felt like just a spiritual successor to shooters of old. The guns are responsive, the platforming is straightforward, and the split attention between the two makes for challenging gameplay that only takes a few minutes to understand, and yet each time I attempted the first mission, I felt like I was getting better. The score is keeping track of the baddies you kill, not your distance, so you can feel like you've made it much farther, yet have 50 points less than you did the last attempt, …3 found this helpful
Really enjoyed this one up to a point. The difficulty spurs you on until you get 20 minutes into a run on Level 2 to get obliterated unavoidably and have to start again. If inexplicable death is the order of the day, fine. But we need checkpoints. Don't add death at the end of a long run.1 found this helpful
