A game ahead of its time and a truly unique standalone title. Honestly, [i][b]NFS: Rivals[/b][/i] is very underrated in the NFS franchise. First NFS game made on the [b]Frostbite Engine[/b] (FE 3). Two campaigns: Play as a cop or a racer. Playable endlessly after finishing those campaigns to unlock various stuff. The cop has three variants of each car and higher speeds than racer cars. The racer has upgrades and customisations. Both have their own standard pursuit tech. The cop has to do assignments. The racer has to do Speedlists and needs to earn SP. Various events are available on the map to complete. Sadly, multiplayer was shut down in 2025 because of the low number of players. Even lower than NFS: MW. [i][b]NFS: Rivals[/b][/i] features unique scenarios, good environmental dynamics (including day & night, rain, desert, and snow), physics, and sounds. It also runs very smoothly on Linux (I tried using Arch Linux, Steam Proton Experimental and it worked flawlessly with zero errors. I completed the cop campaign in 21 hours.) fun and action pack run game again and it as fast as the city version the review time just makes it look half speed. play again and it dobule to 60 from current 30fps go cops and the car reacers.

game is created for 30 fps and if you force run this game above 30 fps, you cannot complete the events.
