Nemesis: Lockdown is a cinematic, turn-based sci-fi horror experience based on the award-winning board game. This is the thrilling tabletop Nemesis experience gone digital, along with its dark atmosphere, adrenaline-filled moments and unforgiving RNG.
A base on Mars has been put on emergency lockdown due to an alien outbreak. You’re one of the few people left inside. Your goal is to fulfill a unique objective - which will put your survival skills to the test - and survive the lockdown by hiding or escaping the facility. You’ll do that by exploring the Intruder-infested corridors of the base in search of anything that might help you stay alive. Even then, your survival is all but guaranteed and sometimes your best efforts might not be enough. In Nemesis: Lockdown, you WILL die. And you’ll have a great time regardless.
The core of Nemesis: Lockdown is its turn-based card gameplay. Each action requires you to play cards from your hand and their smart management is crucial to success. But success in the game relies not just on you and your skills. Random events, requiring you to think on your feet, happen each round, making the sessions exciting, dramatic… and even tougher.
The game is a semi cooperative experience utilizing the hidden traitor mechanic. One of the players might secretly be working on sabotaging the mission. If you want to survive, you’ll have to expose them. If that player is you… well, you’d do anything to make it out alive, wouldn’t you?
One thing’s for certain - you're going to be talking about your games long after the sessions are over.

In Nemesis: Lockdown you don't hunt aliens - you're doing everything to outsmart them, fulfill your objective and get the hell out. And if you do that by betraying your allies along the way... well, nobody said sacrifices wouldn't be necessary to survive.
Weapons in the game are more of a defense countermeasure than a reliable tool of alien extermination and the game's systems make sure that exploring the base is not a walk in the park. You're going to have your work cut out for you - that's for sure.

At the beginning of the game, you're assigned a secret objective. It may sometimes require you to deceive and mislead your teammates, or get rid of them altogether. You're going to have to tread a fine line of being a nuisance and not being exposed. So tread carefully - if they find out what you're up to, you'll be in even more trouble.

Its main goal was to create a horror experience that would evoke a cinematic story with every game. A story that you and your friends would want to talk about even long after the session's over.

This game is garbage. While it is very pretty, I've spent nearly ten hours in the game. Of that, two was with the multiplayer. Which is fine, if limited in options. The graphics are good, I ran into no major glitches. That said, the rest of the time was trying to finish the tutorial. Why? Because the TUTORIAL, which should be about learning basic game mechanics, killed me 90% of the time the first time I moved through a vent. Which, by the by, you MUST do to finish the scenario. Most of the time, the alien queen spawned and immediately skewered me to the point that the first action I took would provoke her and she'd finish me off. Add to that the fact that I have completed the game's survey three times, and yet it asks me to fill one out after EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. It's ridiculous, annoying, and does not make me want to come back to this thing. Besides which, the survey is pointless. It's been two years since they patched the major bugs. All the questions about what you want to see in the game or what they can do to support or fix it? They don't care. Buy Tabletop Simulator and get the boardgame there. As others have mentioned: It's dead online and since that's the only way to actually play the game bar the tutorial (I'll get to that in a moment), there is little reason to buy this even on the "deep discount"/$5 price they're asking at the moment. The tutorial is also extremely poor in explaining the game, with a poor English translation which can make things hard to understand in learning the game. There is also unskippable cutscenes and a "mini-scenario" that you have to do things in an [i]exact order[/i] to complete. The tutorial doesn't explain that you have to do three objectives to "win" the game. Why isn't this mentioned in the first two tutorial sections? You're better off skipping this and going to hunt down a copy of the Board Game on Tabletop Simulator and learning the game "solo" that way. It's still going to be semi-pulling teeth in finding players, but at least TTS isn't completely dead.2 found this helpful
Inexcusably neglected. No couch coop, no bots, no save feature, dead multiplayer. The tutorial is so long that by the time you finish, and realize how poorly it replicates the board game, its too late to refund. To continue to sell this for more than 99 cents is disrespectful and a disservice to the franchise. As an owner of the entire physical collection of Nemesis board games this is a complete disappointment.1 found this helpful

I've never seen such a bad tutorial
Complex game, as the board game is, but the tutorial really helps understanding the rules better. If you like to strategize under stress in an oppressive context, this semi-cooperative game is for you. If you like the alien franchise, you should definitely try it.
